For organizational effectiveness, job satisfaction of employees is imperative. In this respect, leadership style of managers play pivotal role to enhance the job satisfaction of employees. The researchers have used codified close-ended schedule to elicit information from commercial bank employees. They interviewed 100 employees of commercial bank (Leadership style scale adopted from Emmanuel Ogbonna and Lloyd C. Harris, August 2000). It includes thirteen variables on seven point scale ranging from one for very false to seven for very true. Job satisfaction scale was developed by Paul E. Spector (1994) has used which comprises 36 variables on seven point scale ranging from one for disagree very much to seven standing for neither agree nor disagree. The extracted data were analyzed. Chi square test was used to test the hypothesis that is, leadership styles and job satisfaction are independent. It was found that there is an association between leadership style and job satisfaction of employees of commercial banks.Keywords

Targeting customised financial product offerings to various investor segments is a major concern for financial service companies. This article is an effort to identify the investment instruments preferred by the investors belonging to socio-economic class 'A1'. A structured schedule was executed on 30 investors from socio-economic class A1 in Koregaon, a taluka place in Satara District. The study attempts to relate the demographic profile of the sample and its investment patterndemographic and psychographic characteristics.Keywords

This study is an attempt to find out the expectations of students from the Management Institutes by adopting the Kano Model. The expectations of the students can be with respect to various identities like library, computer lab, infrastructure etc. To identify and classify these expectations or requirements into the Kano attributes that is Must be (M), One Dimensional (0) and Attractive requirements (A). The responses of the students were analyzed using the Kano Methodology which was developed by Dr. Kano. This Kano methodology includes framing questionnaire, evaluation of Kano parameters through the evaluation criteria like Kano evaluation table, Extent of satisfaction, Extent of dissatisfaction.
The data from 84 male and 88 female students were collected and through analysis the different requirements are classified under the various Kano categories. Most parameters are found to be categorized under One dimensional requirements. Also it is found that there are no uniform preferences for the One Dimensional requirements from the students of both genders whereas there are uniform preferences for the Attractive requirements from the students of both genders.

Beginning in the seventies and during the next two decades a constellation of principles and methods for developing working conditions had evolved into a movement called Quality of Work Life (QWL). Present research investigats the impact of trade union on level of Quality of Working Life specially of small scaled organizations in Satara industrial estate during 2010-11. The research was designed to throw light on awareness and satisfaction of employees about eight broad criteria and eighty eight micro-parameters of QWL in the presence and absence of trade union. It is comparative study of QWL between small scaled unionized and non-unionized organizations. Responses of total 100 samples are collected on Likert Scale. Data is analyzed using mean, rank and standard deviation and hypothesis is tested using independent sample't' test.
The comparative study find out that QWL in unionized organization is better than non-unionized organization. It also concludes that union plays crucial role in the improvement of QWL in organization.
